His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, on Sunday, congratulated the students on their return to schools in the new academic year.
Sheikh Mohammed said on Twitter, "As classes resume in schools across the UAE, let us say thank you to every student, teacher and parent. Your adaptability and determination to overcome recent challenges ensured that education never stopped. And it never will. We wish you all the best for the new academic year.”
The public and private schools that follow the curriculum of the Ministry of Education, along with nurseries and adult education received more than 1.2 million students on Sunday to mark the start of the new school year 2021-2022.
This academic year will feature three modes of learning namely: face-to-face, hybrid and distance learning.
According to the gradual return to schools plan, educational institutions will receive 50 per cent of students during the first week, to reach 100 per cent in the second week.
