Free COVID-19 PCR test for school students until Sept.30

COVID-19 PCR tests for school students in Abu Dhabi will be conducted free of cost until Sept.30, revealed Abu Dhabi health authorities on Monday.
Authorities also announced on Monday that the saliva test is also available in G42 healthcare centres and SEHA’s drive-through Screening Centres.
SEHA COVID-19 Screening Centers are open from Saturday to Thursday, 8:00am to 8:00pm and Friday from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
Walk-ins, without prior appointment, will be allowed for students only.

On Sunday (Aug.29, 2021) the public and private schools that follow the curriculum of the Ministry of Education, along with nurseries and adult education welcomed more than 1.2 million students as the new school year 2021-2022 began after the summer vacations.
This academic year will feature three modes of learning namely: face-to-face, hybrid and distance learning.
Fully vaccinated students got a green pass to enter educational institutions, while those who were not vaccinated had to present a negative COVID-19 PCR test to be allowed to enter schools.
