The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre on Wednesday released a photograph of the Expo 2020 Dubai site taken from space.
The stunning picture taken by Khalifa Sat shows a crystal clear view of the site.
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre said on Twitter, “One month to go for the opening of Expo 2020 Dubai. This photo, taken by Khalifa Sat from space, shows the site of the global cultural event that will bring together 191 countries in the UAE.”
The Dubai Media Office also shared the image on Twitter with the caption, “With Expo 2020 Dubai set to begin in 30 days, Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre releases a new photo of the site as seen from space.”
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai said on Twitter, “The teams are ready... the infrastructure is complete... the wings of the countries are ready to fly in the largest global event... the UAE and Dubai will be the focus of attention of 191 countries... the UAE is not a global country but the world in a state.”
The Expo 2020 Dubai will take place from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, and is the first World Expo to be held in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region.
The Expo 2020 Dubai would transform the UAE’s economic landscape as the mega event is expected to contribute to promoting tourism as well as commercial and real estate activity in various parts of the country.
The Expo 2020 is a long-term investment in the future of the UAE. Expo has a pattern of positively impacting the GDP of the host country.
There is expected to be an influx of overseas visitors, which will greatly benefit and revive the hospitality & tourism industries in the region.
