Every month people around the world are using around 65 billion gloves and after one-time use these go to waste and it can be reduced 35 per cent with the adopting of latest innovative technology.
It was stated by Engineer Hani Atatreh, CEO of IGIN Lifestyle while announcing the latest device in the UAE and said that the start of manufacturing a smart device for wearing medical gloves without human intervention at the end of this year in the UAE. “It is the first device in the world that will soon enter service in hospitals and clinics across the country and also export to around the world,” he said.

Atatreh announced the launch of the IGIN device in Dubai, and the readiness to manufacture it in the entire country, to be entered into service locally, and then marketed on a large scale to countries of the world, bearing the ‘Made in the UAE’ mark.
“Gloves boxes increase cross contamination in hospitals. The pandemic has increased the use of non-powdered gloves across every field of daily life. The massive use has also arise the problem of 35% to 45% of gloves waste being caused due to either people taking gloves for their personal needs or gloves disposed after failure to put on hands first time or leaving the box open and prone to infection,” he said while talking to the Gulf Today.
He further said the new device, Igin has 99.5 per cent success with automatic fit and wear to reduce the extravagance in the use of medical gloves, while also enormous time as one can wear gloves in 3 seconds as the device able to determine who will use it according to smart programming and speed in responding to the request by the user without trouble and loss of time.”
He said that the device is based on determining the times of each person's use of the medical glove, the appropriate measurement for each person, and providing data on users to manage the health and medical facilities in which the device is located in a smart and smooth way.
“The device was invented jointly experts in Britain and Singapore, but today it will be completely manufactured in the UAE, and exported to all over the world as the unique feature of the device is not only reduce the waste but also to fulfill the needs of staff through computerized programming.”
He revealed that the IGIN device alerts if it is free of gloves to be filled directly, and it accommodates about 600 gloves, and is linked to smart sensors that preserve the issue of sterilization in a healthy manner.
