Surveillance cameras monitored the escape of two prisoners from a police station in the Thai city of Tamarind, using a paper clip to pick up the prison key and open its lock, liberating themselves in less than one minute, according to local media.
The incident, recorded by the cameras, took place at a police station in Chanthaburi district of Tamarind, in which one of the two suspects takes a piece of wire and a hidden paper clip, and uses it skillfully and quickly to pick up the key that locks the prison door.
It took the suspect less than a minute to successfully unlock the lock, after which he turned around to wake up his sleeping friend.
Then they slipped away and escaped from the prison.
The police said in a statement that the two fugitives had criminal histories in several areas, and were arrested after they were charged for stealing two motorcycles, a phone and a diamond bracelet.
The two accused were imprisoned after interrogation before they managed to escape.
The police succeeded in arresting one of the fugitives, but they have not yet been able to arrest the person who picked up the key.
