The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) on Thursday announced that no COVID-19-related deaths have been recorded in the past 24 hours, making it the first day in 2021 when no virus deaths happened in the UAE.
It was Nov.14, 2020, when the UAE saw zero deaths due to coronavirus.
The UAE as so far recorded more than 720,000 cases of COVID-19 infection, including 2,043 deaths.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health announced that it conducted 250,240 additional COVID-19 tests and detected 975 new coronavirus cases.

Over the past few weeks, the authorities said that there has been a gradual decrease in COVID-19 cases in the country.
The ministry thanks all community members for the commitment to all the precautionary measures in the country.
The health experts urged everyone to get vaccinated as soon as possible to curb the spread of coronavirus.
