Residents over 21 years old can apply for gun licence in the UAE

The Ministry of Interior has called on those wishing to purchase and licence a weapon during the International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition to be held between Sept.27 and Oct.3, to submit an application through the ministry’s website or smart application.

Regarding the licensing conditions, the ministry clarified through its official account on the social networking site Twitter that citizens of the country may apply to purchase weapons before the exhibition is held, provided that the age of the licence applicant is not less than 21 years.

The licence will be given thorough checks.

The ministry said that as for non-citizens, they may apply to purchase weapons, provided there is a prior approval from their countries.
