Vaccinated Indian, Pakistani residents can travel to UAE, including those who stayed abroad for over six months

The Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and the National Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management said that UAE will allow the return of fully vaccinated residents from the countries previously on the suspended list, starting from 12 September 2021.

The authorities said that the individual must have been inoculated with the doses of the WHO approved vaccines and that they are holders of valid UAE residency visa.

The list of countries are:

—India,

—Pakistan,

—Bangladesh,

—Nepal,

—Sri Lanka,

—Vietnam,

—Namibia,

—Zambia,

—Democratic Republic of Congo,

—Uganda,

—Sierra Leone,

—Liberia,

—South Africa,

—Nigeria and

—Afghanistan

All arrivals will be required to submit an application on the website of the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship and complete the application with proof of vaccination to obtain the necessary approvals, with the need to present this approval in addition to the attested vaccination certificates upon departure.



People will also have to submit a negative PCR test result valid for 48 hours from the departure time.

The authorities said that the tests must be conducted from accredited laboratories bearing the QR Code.

A Rapid PCR test would be required before boarding the plane.

A PCR test would be conducted upon arrival in the UAE and on the fourth and eighth day, while adhering to all precautionary and preventive measures, with the exception of those under 16 years old.

People who have been fully vaccinated with any WHO-approved vaccine and who have been in one of the countries on the suspended list for more than six months from the date of suspension, can come to the UAE under a new entry permit, and rectify their status after entry.

All other previously published precautions for unvaccinated people from these countries remain in effect.
