Two football fans used an American flag to save the life of a stray cat dangling from the upper deck at Hard Rock Stadium during the Miami Hurricanes and Appalachian State Mountaineers match in Miami, Florida.
The cat appeared in a video clip, hanging on the upper deck of the stadium and struggling to hold on to the banner on the upper deck of the stadium, using its front paws, just out of reach of the fans in the front row.
The cat, however, could not keep hanging on and was about to fall when the two fans stretched an American flag in an attempt to catch the cat.
Their plan worked perfectly just as the cat’s powers ran out and it fell from the upper deck.
The cat landed on the flag, unharmed, while the fans, who had their attention drawn away from the game, breathed a sigh of relief for the pet’s survival.
Kirsten Tautfest wrote on Twitter, “Stray cats often live in stadiums and are allowed to as mouse/rodent control.
“Weird that it was out during the game though. Usually cats hide during game days.”
Lulu Belle responded to a comment that read, That cat scratched everyone…”
Belle said, “Cats/all animals are better than most people! For you to ask such a question tells everyone that you're not a person an animal would gravitate to; they sense haters. That cat scratched whomever & whatever it could cling to save its own life.
Exziner said, “Totally awesome!!!!! This gesture just renewed my faith in mankind. Cute little kitty.”
