The Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge confirmed that schools in the emirate maintain updated medical records for students.
These records are confidential and are allowed to be shared only with relevant parties.
The schools have been directed to allocate a contact number or an email to parents to report any emergency cases related to COVID-19.
The authority called on schools to use electronic means of communication such as e-mail, telephone, remote meetings and others, in all administrative matters such as admission and registration procedures for students, communication with parents, procedures for paying school fees, etc., and a commitment to respond to parents' inquiries on a regular basis.
It also called on schools to define and organise break times and other gathering times to reduce mixing between classes and reduce crowding in corridors and other transitional areas.
