A video of a white-necked raven has gone viral on social media platforms.
The video shows the bird dousing a small fire.
It is noteworthy that the raven was using its intelligence to put out flames by putting fresh leaves.
Fresh leaves usually don’t catch fire.
After several attempts, the bird succeeded in competently dousing the fire.
The place where the raven showed its capabilities is not known.
The white-necked ravens have shorter a tail than the common raven.
These birds are mostly found in eastern and southern Africa, and are commonly visible in open mountainous country.
A study said that raven was seen dropping a tortoise from a height on to hard ground, then dive down to eat it. If not sufficiently broken, it would repeat the feat to get the desired result.
Social media users were divided over the video clip, with some claiming it has been video edited.
A Twitter user wrote, “I can’t believe what I just saw… IQ 200.”
Anther one wrote, “Not real, ravens can not do that.”
Another user said, “Bring them to California, they will surely stop the wildfires.”
