In implementation of the decision of the Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Committee in Abu Dhabi to update the procedures for entering the emirate from within the country, and its adoption of cancelling the requirements for Covid-19 examinations for entry, the competent authorities began to remove structures set up for the Ghantoot area.
The Directorate of Traffic and Patrols in the General Command of Abu Dhabi Police allowed the public to move after the completion of the removal of entry points on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Street towards the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Residents were happy with the decision and thanked the leadership and the competent authorities for the efforts made during that last period of organising the procedures for entering Abu Dhabi to maintain the health and safety of the community.
This comes after announcing the reduction of infection rates with the Covid-19 virus to 0.2% of the total examinations in the emirate, and the implementation of the green pass system to enter some public places.
The committee confirmed the continuation of monitoring the epidemiological situation, and urged citizens, residents and visitors, to adhere to the precautionary measures in order to ensure the health and safety of community members, and to preserve the health gains achieved to promote sustainable recovery in the country.
In the same context, the decision to restrict entry to public places in Abu Dhabi to fully vaccinated citizens and residents will come into force on Monday.
The committee had called on those who received two doses of the Sinopharm vaccine six months ago, to obtain the supporting dose before the date of entry into force of the decision, to maintain the green pass system in AlHisn App, so that they can enter most public places in Abu Dhabi, with the need to undergo the nasal swab examination (PCR) every 30 days.
A number of citizens and residents in Abu Dhabi expressed their thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the leadership and the competent authorities, stressing that the decision to enter Abu Dhabi without a request for a PCR examination is a strong indicator of the ability of the competent authorities to move forward to the stage of recovery from the “Covid 19” virus pandemic.
