A session was held last Thursday, September 23rd 2021 to announce that the Egyptian Dental Syndicate, which was established in 1944, is joining the ‘Waterfalls’ Initiative, the largest global initiative for continuous education and specialised remote training, in the presence of the most prominent names in dentistry in the Arab world.
The session, moderated by Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Executive Chairman of Waterfalls Initiative for Continuous Education from UAE to the World, Executive Chairman of ‘AEEDC Dubai’ and the ‘Global Scientific Dental Alliance’ and Chairman of INDEX Holding, began with a welcome speech delivered by Dr. Al Madani where he said: “We are pleased with the joining of the Egyptian Dental Syndicate of the Waterfalls Initiative, which has benefited more than 867,594 beneficiaries from 197 countries around the world."
Additionally, Dr. Abdul Salam extended his appreciation and congratulations to the Egyptian Dental Syndicate, highlighting that this addition provides tremendous value through the exchange of expertise of global medical professionals from different backgrounds and specialities.

Colonel Abdulrahman Ali Al Mansouri, Director of the Executive Office in the Department of Behavioral Rewards at the Ministry of Possibilities delivered his speech and said: “The Waterfalls Initiative for Continuous Education was launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai and the supervision of Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior at a time when the world is witnessing major and radical changes in light of the pandemic that has swept the world. The Waterfalls Initiative is a comprehensive platform that facilitates the exchange of knowledge and expertise among medical and healthcare professionals around the world. Additionally, we ensured that all participants receive CME points, because we understand that they are an essential part of the noble career for those working in the medical field, and are an important element that we were keen to include in the initiative.”
He added: “The UAE, through its efforts in combating and containing the Covid-19 pandemic, has proven its readiness to deal with crises, and has become a successful model in how to manage these crises, contain their risks, and create opportunities to continue the development process. The Waterfalls Initiative for Continuous Education is a clear proof of that, as the initiative has actively contributed to empowering and supporting healthcare cadres and front-liners around the world.”
Furthermore, Dr. Ehab Heikal, President of the Egyptian Dental Syndicate, delivered his speech and said: “Since the start of the current syndicate cycle in August 2020, the syndicate has been seeking to build bridges of communication with international bodies for the benefit of dentists in Egypt and the Arab world. Additionally, the syndicate is keen to raise the level of dentistry.”
He added: “One of the fruits of these endeavours is joining the Waterfalls Initiative to integrate the dentists in Egypt with this large gathering of dentists in the region, scientific participation and exchange of experiences among them.”
The “Waterfalls” Initiative was launched from the UAE to the world, with the support and vision of the UAE’s wise leadership, in order to deliver continuous education for around 1 million doctors, physicians, pharmacists, technicians, and specialists across the world to support the frontliners across all medical and humanitarian fields through specialised online webinars accredited by globally recognised accreditation bodies and organisations, and presented by well-renowned local and international speakers and lecturers and help them continue learning under uncertain conditions such as COVID-19 pandemic.
