His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has approved Dhs17,500 as a minimum monthly salary of every citizen working in Sharjah Police.
Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, has extended his highest thanks, appreciation and gratitude to Sheikh Sultan for his continuous and endless giving to citizens working in the police.
Al Shamsi praised Sheikh Sultan for approving the minimum wage for all citizens working in the Sharjah Police, at no less than Dhs17,500, as part of his 'Sultan Project for Decent Living.'
Major General Al Shamsi pointed out that this decision embodies the extent of Sheikh Sultan’s interest in his people and his continuous follow-up to their affairs.
Recently Sheikh Sultan had approved the first phase of the ‘Sultan Project for Decent Living’, which included an increase in the pensions of 453 federal retirees of Sharjah Police with a retroactive effect from Jan.1, 2018.
As part of this Dhs40-million-per-year project, the pension of the federal retiree of Sharjah Police will reach Dhs17,500.
This was announced by Sheikh Sultan in a telephone conversation with Mohammed Hassan Khalaf, Director General of Sharjah Broadcasting Authority through the Direct Line programme broadcast live on Sharjah Radio and TV.
