Grand Mufti of India Sheikh Abubakr Ahmad has received the UAE Golden Visa, his close aide said.
The Grand Mufti also known by his full name Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliar was handed over the visa by Major General Mohamed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of Dubai GDRFA. Abubakr was grateful to receive the Golden Visa and praised the UAE leadership.
Abubakr is one of the finest educationist, social worker and philanthropist in the country. He has been granted the visa for his charitable services. Abubakr is the chancellor of Jamia Markaz, a national Islamic seminary in Kerala and general secretary of the All India Sunni Jamiyyathul Ulama in India.Abubakr is also the chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Peace Forum. Abubakr is very well known in the Arab world.
He regularly holds events in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. He speaks in multiple languages, including Arabic. The Grand Mufti visited the Indian Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai on Friday.
Sheikh Abubakr said that Expo 2020 Dubai will contribute to global efforts to promote cultural exchange, economic progress and cooperation in multiple areas. It is undoubtedly a mega gathering that brings the slices of the world together in Dubai over six months after the global new custom.
