The daughter of late prime minister late Benazir Bhutto and former president Asif Ali Zardari, Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari and her husband Mahmood Chaudhry were blessed with their first child, a baby boy.
Taking to Twitter, Bakhtawar announced the good news on Monday and said that the baby was born on Sunday (Oct.10). "We are happy to announce the birth of our baby boy," she wrote.
Reacting to the good news, her brother and Pakistan People Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, expressed his happiness over becoming an uncle (mamoo) with heart emojis.
Bakhtawar's youngest sister Aseefa Bhutto Zardari also took to Twitter and wrote: "Officially a khala!!! Alhamdullilah!"
Congratulatory messages started pouring in shortly after Bakhtawar announced the arrival of her baby boy.
PPP leaders, including Sherry Rehman and Saeed Ghani, congratulated the couple on the birth of their firstborn while #CongratulationsBibi started trending on Twitter with many sending good wishes to the new parents.
Bakhtawar and Dubai-based businessman Mahmood Chaudhry were engaged on Nov.27, 2020, which saw the sprawling lawns at Bilawal House bedecked with flowers.
Bakhtawar tied the knot earlier this year amid fanfare, albeit with COVID-19 restrictions.
The pandemic, however, did not damper the public interest in the toned-down mehndi, nikah/rukhsati and the valima reception that unfolded behind the fortified walls of Bilawal House Karachi amid a strictly monitored and limited guest list.
