Based on the directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, preparations are under way to start implementing a park called the ‘Andalusian Park’ in the lands behind the Sharjah Mosque. The park will contain waterways, fountains, lakes, seating areas, restaurants, and more.
This was announced through the Direct Line programme broadcast live on Sharjah Radio and TV in response to a caller’s request for a park to be provided in that area.
Meanwhile, the Hamriyah Public Market is scheduled to open soon and will include various shops to serve the inhabitants and passersby, mediaman Mohammed Khalaf revealed.
The market consists of two floors.The first will contain offices, a clinic, a teaching institute and others. Work is also under way in a service road in Hamriya East after the bridge and a police station for Hamriya area near the bridge connecting the Hamriya East and Hamriya West. The projects are being carried out by the Sharjah Directorate of Public Works.
