Pakistan has reported 689 coronavirus during the last 24 hours. The last time the country reported less than 700 cases was on June 21, when 663 new infections were recorded.
According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 42,476 tests were conducted during the last 24 hours. The total number of cases has risen to 1,259,648 and the positivity ratio is 1.62 per cent.
Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 28,152 after 18 more fatalities were confirmed.
Sindh province has reported 301 new coronavirus cases and five deaths over the past 24 hours, according to a statement issued by the Chief Minister's Office.
During this period, 9,352 tests were conducted and 426 patients recovered from COVID-19 in the province. The province's infection tally now stands at 462,281 and death toll has climbed to 7,502.
Punjab province has reported 245 coronavirus cases and seven deaths. The total number of cases has increased to 436,442 and the death toll is 12,792.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province has reported 74 coronavirus cases and five deaths during the last 24 hours. The total number of cases has increased to 176,048 and the death toll is 5,650,
Meanwhile, Balochistan province has reported seven new infections during this period. The provincial tally has increased to 33,083 and the death toll remains 350.
The federal capital, Islamabad, reports 55 coronavirus cases during the last 24 hours. Islamabad has also recorded one death during this period.

Punjab: 245 cases, 7 deaths
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 74 cases, 5 deaths
Islamabad: 48 cases, 1 death

Gilgit-Baltistan: 3 cases
