UAE strongly condemns Kandahar mosque blast

The UAE has strongly condemned the bomb attack on a mosque in the Afghan city of Kandahar, which led to deaths and injuries of innocent people.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MoFAIC) emphasised that the UAE utterly condemns these criminal acts and rejects all forms of violence and terrorism aimed at destabilising security in contravention of all religious and human values and principles.

The Ministry also expressed its sincere condolences to the families of the victims of this heinous criminal act and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, Afghanistan's Shiite minority buried their dead for the second Saturday in a row after another suicide bomb attack on a mosque claimed by the Daesh group.
Religious authorities in the southern city of Kandahar told the media the toll from Friday's assault had reached 60, as hundreds of diggers opened row after row of graves in the dusty soil.
The latest massacre came just a week after another Daesh-claimed attack on Shiite worshippers at a mosque in the northern city of Kunduz that killed more than 60 people.
