Fed up with looking after husband, Kerala wife slits his throat

In a bone-chilling incident, a wife in the Indian state of Kerala slit the throat of her 75-year-old husband on Tuesday morning.
According to IANS, the man was believed to be paralysed for the past 15 years was murdered, according to local police
The woman confessed to the crime to a doctor, the local police said.
The husband, Gopi was found dead with his throat slit and his 70-year-old wife Sumathy was lying in an unconscious state.
The locals took both to the hospital and after she regained her consciousness and admitted to the doctor that it was she who committed the crime.
The woman said she was fed up of looking after her husband and thought getting rid of him was the best option.
The hospital informed the local police.
She confessed about the crime to the police as well.
The police are probing the incident and looking into other motives for the gruesome crime.
The woman appeared before a magistrate to record her statement.
Local residents said that elderly couple were living at their daughter's home for some time. They recently returned to their son’s home a few days back.
The son’s home was being re-constructed.
The couple were living in a temporary shed near the home.
Locals said that she sometimes complained that she was unable to continue looking after her husband.
