Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in December 2019.

India registers 15,906 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours
Another 39,962 people in Britain have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of coronavirus cases in the country to 8,773,674, according to official figures released on Sunday.
The country also reported a further 72 coronavirus-related deaths. The total number of coronavirus-related deaths in Britain now stands at 139,533. These figures only include the deaths of people who died within 28 days of their first positive test, Xinhua news agency reported.

There are currently 8,238 patients in hospital with COVID-19.
In the last 24 hours, India registered 14,306 new coronavirus cases and 443 deaths, the Union Health Ministry said on Monday. The new fatalities have increased the death toll to 4,54,712.
The recovery of 18,762 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally to 3,35,67,367. Consequently, India's recovery rate stands at 98.18 per cent, currently at its highest peak since March 2020. The active caseload stands at 1,67,695, which is the lowest in 239 days.

Mexico's Health Ministry on Sunday registered 87 more confirmed coronavirus deaths and 1,666 new cases, bringing the country's overall death toll to 286,346 and the total number of cases to 3,783,327.
Singapore recorded 3,383 new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, bringing the total tally in the country to 172,644, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said in a press release.
Of the new cases, 2,708 were reported in the community and 667 in migrant worker dormitories while eight were imported cases, Xinhua news agency reported.
New Zealand reported 109 new Delta variant cases of COVID-19 in the community on Monday, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country's community outbreak to 2,681.
A total of 103 of the new infections were recorded in the largest city of Auckland, four in nearby Waikato and two in Northland, according to the Ministry of Health, Xinhua news agency reported.
