The National Authority for Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management and the General Civil Aviation Authority on Tuesday announced the update of the travel protocol for the UAE citizens travelling to the countries to which has been on travel ban list as of Wednesday (Oct.27).
This is with the aim of strengthening the state’s strategy in the phase of recovery and gradual openness in all vital sectors and a return to a new normal life.
The protocol indicated that only those citizens will be allowed the travel who are fully vaccinated.
However, diplomats, sick cases and those receiving treatment outside the country, as well as humanitarian cases, and study missions outside the country, are exempted.
They all need to obtain prior approval from the official authorities.
Citizens returning from those countries are required to present a negative PCR test result before returning from the destination containing a QR Code that was conducted within 48 hours from the time of departure, in addition to presenting the result of another Rapid Test PCR examination that was conducted a maximum of 6 hours before the departure time at the airport grounds. for the destination.
The protocol indicated that the vaccinated category must perform a PCR examination upon arrival, and conduct two other examinations on the fourth and eighth days from the date of arrival.
As for the unvaccinated category, it must do a PCR test upon arrival with a commitment to quarantine for 10 days and a test on the ninth day.
The protocol also included a number of departure requirements, which are the necessity of registering in my presence service for citizens, showing a negative examination result within 48 hours, as well as adhering to the destination procedures.
The "Emergency and Crisis" Authority and "Civil Aviation" advise that travelers should go to health centers in the event of symptoms or infection with the virus and inform the country's embassy, and in order to preserve the health and safety of travelers, the protocol also indicates that people over 70 years of age should not travel.
