Social networking sites were buzzing with a video clip showing US President Joe Biden falling asleep during the climate summit held in Glasgow, Scotland.
The "nap" that dominated the US president for a short time was an opportunity for his predecessor, Donald Trump, who did not miss it, and commented on it sarcastically.
British media reported that Biden appears in the video as he falls asleep for about half a minute, before delivering his expected speech at the summit, which prompted one of his aides to go to him and talk to him, before the US president adjusted his session and rubbed his eyes.
His predecessor, Donald Trump, mocked the situation by saying: "Even Biden couldn't bear to hear much about the global warming hoax."
"Biden went to Europe saying global warming was his number one priority, and then fell asleep right away, for the whole world to see," said Trump, who has often called the current US president "sleeping atmosphere."
World leaders meeting in Glasgow since Monday for the COP26 climate summit are expected to pledge on Tuesday, the second day of their summit, to curb deforestation by 2030, but environmentalists say that date is too far away.
