Sharjah Police announce five new digital services

The Customer Happiness Centre  (Traffic and Licensing Services Centre), at the Sharjah Police General Headquarters, announced the transformation of 5 traffic services into digital, through the smart application and the website of the Ministry of Interior (MoI), according to Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed Abdullah Alai, Head of the Traffic and Licensing Services Centre.

The services are: Opening a traffic file, issuing vehicle ownership, converting traffic points to a driver’s licence, paying the vehicle impound period allowance, and issuing a vehicle impoundment cancel certificate.

Alai stressed the keenness of the Sharjah Police to facilitate the procedures for people and to continue to provide its services around the clock, in order to achieve the strategic aim of the MoI, to enhance the happiness of customers with the services provided, in order to contribute to saving time and effort for customers and improving the quality of life.

Recently, Sharjah Police revealed “zero” criminal offences and “zero” incidents of people getting run over in the central region during the third quarter of this year.

Colonel Ahmed Jassim Al Zaabi, Director of the Central Region Police Department, said this rate represents a new achievement added to the department in enhancing security and safety.

Colonel Ahmed Al Zaabi confirmed that the decrease in the serious crime rate was because it implemented its development initiatives and practices in the Ministry of Interior’s strategic plan to enhance security and safety, according to the approved indicators. This is a result of the intensive patrolling in the jurisdictional areas, which contributed to the rapid arrival of the security services, according to WAM.

This is in addition to its implementation of field visits and plans to reduce crime rates through a series of periodic meetings with strategic partners.

On the traffic side, Colonel Al Zaabi announced a decrease in accidents concerning people getting run over to “zero” during the third quarter of 2021.

Last month, Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Council of Sharjah Police Sciences Academy, affirmed that the educational system at the Academy is continuing to achieve the visions and aspirations of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in making the emirate an intellectual and scientific oasis in all fields and sectors.

This came during the meeting of the Academy’s Council, which the Sharjah Crown Prince chaired, at the Academy’s headquarters at the University City in Sharjah.
