The Dubai civil defence teams brought under control a fire that erupted on the two floors of a building in Al Muraqqabat Street. No casualties were reported.
The Dubai Civil Defence’s operations room received a report at 9:34am on Tuesday that a fire erupted in a building on Al Muraqqabat Street.
A firefighting team from Port Saeed Firefighting and Rescue Station were dispatched to the scene.
After arriving at the site within 5 minutes, teams found that the fire have erupted in the 7th and 8th floors.
A civil defence source stated that the firefighting teams, supported by firefighters from Al Hamriya Station, evacuated the tenants and began fighting the fire to prevent it from spreading to other apartments.
Some 20 minutes later, it was announced that the fire was brought under control and that no casualties were reported.
The firefighters began to cool the scene of the fire before handing the site to the competent authorities for investigations into what caused the fire.
