VIDEO: Ajman launches intelligent bridge testing system to test aspiring drivers

The Ajman Police General Headquarters launched an intelligent bridge testing system to test vehicle drivers applying for a driver's licence in the Emirate.

In detail, major Khalfan Mohammed Al Shaali, head of the Vehicle and Driver licencing Department at Ajman police, said the launch of the system is the first stage of the intelligent field project, which Ajman police seek to implement to provide intelligent and integrated solutions in all driving test vehicles.

The system aims at improving drivers' testing through automation and analysing driving skills, reinforcing the traffic safety by providing data for the driver during the test," Al Shaali said.

"It also provides  a direct follow up platform for the testing process and is also helpful in case of emergency," Al Shaali added.

Al Shaali pointed out that the system uses smart cameras inside and outside the vehicle to monitor the driver's driving skills while being tested.

“These cameras are aimed at following up the continuous improvement of the test process, while connected to a remote control room,” Al Shaali indicated.

The system also provides a visual and audio communication system with the vehicle driver, besides other devices to recognise faces, which enable the tester to ensure the identity of the driver once he gets into the vehicle, according to Al Shaali.  

It also provides an automatic sterilisation system, which is remotely controlled, and sterilises the testing vehicle before and after each test.
