An expat woman in Dubai is all praise for the emirate after her recent experience.
Claudine Foong, a fitness and golf coach in Dubai, left her child’s stroller at a parking lot.
She wasn’t aware until she reached home that she had left the pram behind in the parking lot.
The young lady went over to the same spot the next morning where she thought she had left the stroller.
Foong was surprised to see that the pram was in the exact place where she had left it.
It is when she took to instagram and wrote, ONLY IN DUBAI… Can you leave your stroller in the parking lot overnight and it’s in the exact same place you forgot it… with nothing missing.``
And that is not it, her true story got the attention of none other than Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan reacted to the Instagram story and wrote, “Thank you Claudine, a true story that we can all relate to in Dubai.”
The Crown Prince even joked and said, “But next time, no strollers left behind please.”
Last week, the UAE occupied the first place on the Feeling of Security Index, according to Gallup's 2021 Global Law and Order report.
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai has said that the United Arab Emirates is the first globally, according to Global Law and Order Report.
Sheikh Mohammed said, “Residents can safely walk alone at night. Safety is a blessing and security means calmness and a happy life. If you are told that a woman can walk alone, at day or at late hours at night with no fear, you should know that she is in the UAE.”
“May Allah make this country secure and safe. And bless us with more peace, calmness and security.”
The report's finding was announced by Major General Dr Abdul Quddus Abdul Razzaq Al Obaidly, Assistant Commander-in-Chief for Quality and Excellence at the Dubai Police, Chairman of the Emirates Association for Strategic Planning and Future Foresight.
The index reflects the citizens, residents and visitors' sense of security, according to Al Obaidly who said: "We are keen to achieve levels of pioneering work based on scientific strategies and plans which foresee the future challenges.”
He added that the UAE, with the guidance, support and follow-up of the wise leadership is keen to strengthen the march as a secure and safe place, and its advanced position on global competitive indicators, according to the priorities of the UAE national agenda 2021, which aspires to be the safest place at the global level.
Al Obaidly stressed the great role of the Ministry of the Interior in consolidating and protecting the achievements with the support and guidance of Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior.
