The UAE authorities on Tuesday announced safety protocols for attending National Day events stressing the necessity of providing a negative PCR test result done 96 hours before the event and checking temperature before entry.
The protocols were announced during the weekly media briefing on coronavirus situation in the UAE.
The capacity of events should not exceed 80%, and face masks must also be worn in closed and crowded areas, and 1.5-metre social distance must be followed.
Members of one family are allowed to sit or stand together without the need to practice social distancing.
All age groups who have been vaccinated (14 days must have passed since the date of their full vaccination) are allowed to attend events, along with the implementation of the booster shot protocol or the Green Pass.
People are required to greet each other from a distance and refrain from shaking hands or exchanging hugs.
The authority organising an event must form teams to verify adherence to announced requirements, monitor entry and exit, and prevent overcrowding.
The sanitisation of all areas regularly is a necessity, as well as the availability of sanitisation tools at the entries and exits of rest rooms. Moreover, people should follow the updated protocols announced by local authorities.
