On the occasion of the 50th National Day of the United Arab Emirates, Directorate General Of Umm Al Quwain (UAQ) police launched an initiative to offer 50% discount on traffic fines registered before Oct.31 from Dec.1, 2021 until Jan.6, 2022.
The decision also includes the cancellation of black points and the impoundment of vehicles.
However, it excludes violations registered according to Article (1) (A,B), regarding driving the vehicle in a way which exposes the life of the driver and others, their safety to danger, and the violations within Article (73), regarding amending the engine or vehicle base without a permit.

The decision also excludes traffic violations regarding violating the precautionary measures, based on the General Attorney's decision (38) for 2020, which was modified with resolution (54), with regard to violating precautionary measures, instructions and duties imposed to fight the spread of coronavirus.
The Directorate pointed out that the traffic fines should be paid through the MoI application and the other electronic websites.
