Dubai school bus fire brought under control

Dubai Civil Defence teams brought under control a fire that broke out in a school bus opposite Dubai Mall. No casualties were reported as a result of the fire.

Earlier, the Dubai Civil Defence operations room received a report at 12:53pm that a fire had erupted in a school bus opposite the Dubai Mall on Dubai Financial Centre Street.

Firefighters from the Zabeel Fire Station rushed to the scene of the fire.

Upon arrival at 12:57pm, the firefighters found that the fire erupted in the middle of the school bus but there were no casualties.

The fire was brought under control and put out at 13:25pm.

Cooling operations followed before the file of the fire was handed over to the competent authorities for investigation into what caused the fire.
