The Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) issued a number of new circulars in line with the precautionary measures in force to combat spread of the COVID-19 issued by the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee.
With regard to the capacity of economic facilities, the ADDED has increased it to 80% in shopping centers, restaurants, cafes, sports activities, entertainment cities, cinemas, and shops.
The ADDED also determined the capacity to no more than 50% in health clubs, Gyms, while no more than 10 people are allowed to sit at one table in restaurants and cafes.
As for the periodic PCR tests for workers of economic establishments, the ADDED called for the necessity of conducting a PCR test through a nasal swab for all users, workers and employees of licensed economic establishments in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi once every two weeks.
The tests are “free”, the ADDED said, noting that the establishments should send the commercial license documents, the PRO’s data and the list of workers to: [email protected] for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, and to [email protected] for Al Dhafra region.
Regarding the green pass via Al-Hosn application, the ADDED confirmed that the only vaccinated people are allowed to enter public places including citizens, residents and tourists. As for duty of employees and workers in the private sector, the ADDED allowed 100% capacity of workers and the administrative and supervisory staff members at work sites.
