UAE leaders pay rich tributes to martyrs on Commemoration Day

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai on Tuesday paid tribute to the UAE martyrs on the Commemoration Day.

“On Martyr’s Day, we remember our heroes who sacrificed their lives for their country,” tweets Sheikh Mohammed.

“The people of the UAE testify that they are people of glory and honour. History has witnessed their sacrifices. May God have mercy on our martyrs and heroes. We will not forget them,” Sheikh Mohammed concluded.

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, said on Twitter, “Today we pay tribute to the heroes who gave their lives while serving and protecting our nation. Their courage and sacrifice will inspire future generations and their memory will live forever in the history of the UAE. We salute their families and we pray that they rest in peace.”

Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, said, “We proudly mark ‘Martyr's Day,’ which embodies a precious national memory in which we evoke the meanings of sacrifice and heroism for the sake of the nation's elevation... This precious occasion inculcates in the hearts of new generations the values of love for the UAE's soil, giving and sincerity in work, so that the UAE flag fly high.”
