The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted an official source in the Saudi Public Prosecution, as saying that "based on what was submitted by the Parliamentary Monitoring Center regarding a video on social media platforms, showing a Saudi citizen and a resident assaulting a group of male and female expatriates inside a recruitment office at Hafr Al Baten Governorate, the Saudi public prosecution ordered the arrest of the suspects and their referral to the prosecution.”
The source said accordingly the Public Prosecution will take legal procedures against the suspects and will demand severe punishment for them before the competent court.
The source also explained that Saudi laws ensure justice for individuals, and declared the sentences for the crimes committed, including the human trafficking crime.
The sentence is toughened in case the crime is committed against a woman or groups, according to the source.
“It is necessary that victim and witness should inform authorities when such crimes are committed,” the source affirmed.
