His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE vice president Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, on Sunday visited the Kingdom of Spain’s pavilion at the Expo 2020.
Sheikh Mohammed was accompanied by Sheikh Maktoum Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance.
During the visit, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on what the pavilion showed, which reflected the features of the values of the Spanish people and, the basic aspects of its personality and the attitude reinforcing solidarity and innovation. His Highness was also briefed on the many tourist attractions of Spain.

He listened to an explanation on the outstanding way of designing and building the pavilion using raw materials of wood, iron, and recycled materials which confirm the principle of sustainability, with the adoption of conical shape as a method ensuring good ventilation without the need for energy consumption.
His Highness also saw the chess hall, which symbolised historical relations between Spain and the Arab region, as well as the "Smart Forest" containing innovations and ideas reflecting Spain's commitment to the 2030 agenda of sustainable development.

At the end of the visit, Sheikh Mohammed expressed his appreciation for the items he saw, which gave an integrated idea of the civilisation of Spain, which associated with Arab and Islamic civilisations.
He also praised the innovations and ideas which reflect Spain attitudes towards the future within a framework to maintain the sustainability of natural resources and discover more environmentally friendly development opportunities.
