The security forces in Giza, Egypt have arrested a young man (Karim.A), who caused death of four young men in a collision in Sheikh Zayed City, at dawn on Friday.
It is said that the young man who caused the accident is son of owner of a famous commercial chain in Egypt.
As soon as the security forces received the report through the emergency police operations room, they rushed to the scene of the accident, in coordination with the traffic police, to examine the scene and find out circumstances of the accident, under the supervision of Major General Assem Abu Al Khair, Deputy Director of Investigations Directorate in Giza.
Through the inspection and investigations, it concluded that an “Aston Martin” car was being driven by Karim. A, when it collided with another vehicle carrying four young men, who were killed due to the collision. The victims’ names are Omar Hamdi, Saeed Hassan, Abdullah Darwish and Youssef Sibai, according to the security officials.
After legalizing the procedures, a security force led by Colonel Ahmed Negm, Investigation Inspector at Sheikh Zayed Division, was able to arrest the accused, who was found suffering from bruises and abrasions on the body, but his condition was stable, as his luxury car is equipped with good safety and security means.
Eyewitnesses reported that the driver of the car, who caused the accident, was driving at a crazy speed, as well as being in a state of drunkenness, stressing they saw alcoholic drinks in his car.
Karim will be subject to a medical examination to show that he consumed any narcotics or alcohol while driving the car during the accident, said a security official.
In the same context, the families of the victims arrived at the Public Hospital in Sheikh Zayed City to receive the bodies of their four sons.
A state of sadness mixed with shock gripped the families of the four boys, amid the cries of the women who were covered in black, demanding, “We want rights of our sons, who lost their life in the blink of an eye.”
