A man in Finland blew up his electric Tesla car with 30 kilograms of dynamite due to the high cost of maintaining the car, according to Finnish media reports.
Local media stated that one of Tesla's customers, who was angry at the high cost that the company required to maintain his car, documented the process of detonating his car, and then posted the video on social media platforms.
The video first appeared on Pommijätkät YouTube channel, before it spread widely in various countries of the world.
The man put 30 kilograms of dynamite in the car, which is worth about $66,000, and then detonated it.
He explained in a video he posted on YouTube, that the reason for the explosion was due to his disappointment with the service provided by Tesla, after his car encountered some problems.
He said, "I bought a Tesla Model S in 2013, and it ran very well for the first 1,500 km, before it later had some problems, so I sent it to the service station for repair."
He pointed out that after a month of working on repairing it, he received a call telling him that they could not repair the car.
He added that the only option to repair the car is to completely change the battery cell, pointing out that the cost of this matter reaches $22,000.
He added, "After hearing this, I told them that I would pick up the car from the service station and detonate it with a bomb," which he eventually did and documented the video that has so far garnered nearly 9 million views.
