New speed limit on Abu Dhabi -Al Ain road announced

The Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) on Wednesday updated the speed limit on (Abu Dhabi - Al Ain) road between Al Mafraq Bridge & Baniyas Bridge as of Thursday, 30 December 2021 until April 2022. The new speed limit on that section will be reduced to 120kmph from Thursday, the ITC said. ITC urges road users to drive cautiously and abide by traffic rules and regulations.
Separately, the ITC announced on Twitter that trucks and labour buses (50 Passengers) would be banned inside Abu Dhabi Island on New Year's Eve from 7:00 am on Friday, 31 December 2021 to 7:00 am on Saturday, 1 January 2022. Logistics and general cleaning company vehicles are exempted, the ITC added.
