The UAE government has prioritise the health of residents and citizens, and are taking all steps to protect them from COVID-19 mutants.
The authorities have urged members of the public to take the vaccine to boost immunity.
The health experts said, “During the holiday season, do not forget to adhere to precautionary measures to protect your health and the community from Covid-19.
“This includes avoiding crowded places, practising physical distancing, and receiving a booster vaccine dose, for those eligible.”
To further enhance precautionary measures and protect public health, the procedure to enter Abu Dhabi emirate from within the UAE has been updated, effective Dec.30, 2021.
Vaccinated people will now show green status on Alhosn App, while unvaccinated individuals are required to present a negative PCR test result received within 96 hours.
On the other hand, the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) in coordination with the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) announced that green pass on Al Hosn application would be mandatory to enter any federal government entity for employees and customers nationwide.
This will be limited to the vaccinated individuals and those who are excluded from vaccination, as of January 3, 2022.
The step comes in line with the country’s vision to strengthen the national efforts in all sectors to secure the health and safety of society during the recovery phase from the COVID-19 pandemic.
