The residents in Dubai are ready to attend the first of its kind Kite Festival and Lohri celebration on Saturday, 15th January, 2022 from 10 AM- 5 PM at Dubai Silicon Oasis.
The celebrations are all set to be a grand family entertainment where the young and adults will showcase their skills of kite flying while families will be delighted with scores of traditional Indian cuisine.

The one of its kind festival being organized by famous Indian restaurant, MyGovinda’s, known for its holistic and healthy vegan and vegetarian food in the UAE, is to host the event in association with Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority and will follow strict social distancing norms and hygiene protocols.
The Kite Festival otherwise known as Makar Sankranti, marks the harvest festival, while ‘Lohri’ is a traditional winter folk festival celebrated across India and the organisers wish to bring the same fun and flair to the residents of Dubai.
The MyGovinda’s has crafted exclusive Makar Sankranti Hampers which consist of Till Gajak, Till Laddoo, Peanut and Jaggery Chikki, Till Patti, and 2 kites which are priced at Dhs45. While on January 15th all customers dining at the event will get 2 complimentary kites with a spend of Dhs49.

The family-friendly event will witness live entertainment by leading Bollywood singers and a special performance by a ‘bhangra’ troupe. Along with this, there will be magicians, face painting amongst other activities at the event, a dedicated picnic-style seating for family and kids, and a large free parking area.
