The Department of Government Support, in coordination with the Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, started today (Monday) implementing mandatory vaccination and booster doses for all eligible employees of Abu Dhabi government entities to enter the workplace to further enhance existing precautionary measures at government entities and to protect public health.
Those who do not abide by the rules will not be allowed to enter the workplace. Earlier, the Department of Government Support, in coordination with Abu Dhabi Emergency, Crisis and Disasters Committee, approved the implementation of mandatory vaccination and booster doses for all eligible employees in Abu Dhabi Government entities to enter the workplace, effective Monday, 10 January 2022. The decision applies to employees of all government entities.
It is not applicable to employees with official medical exemption. The update aims to enhance existing precautionary measures at government organisations and further protect public health. Employees, service providers and contracted personnel must continue to adhere to previously introduced measures, including presenting a negative PCR test result every 7 days. Visitors, customers and temporary employees are required to present a negative PCR test result received within 48 hours.
