Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council issued the Executive Council Resolution No. (2) of 2022 regulating granting home nursing service to bedridden persons in the Emirate of Sharjah.
The decision comes in implementation of the directives of His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to raise the minimum amount granted to the beneficiaries (bedridden persons) of the home nursing service to Dhs17,500.
The move aims to provide decent healthcare for the patients and to ensure their integration in their families.
The Social Services Department takes over the provision of home nursing service for the bedridden at no charge in accordance with the established procedures.
With this resolution, approximately 225 new cases (bedridden persons) will benefit from the home nursing service, with an annual increase of Dhs54 million.
According to the decision, the Department of Social Services has the right to approve or reject the entitlement to home nursing service for the bedridden, based on assessing the social and medical reports of each applicant.
The Department further periodically monitors and evaluates the provided nursing service, and it may take all administrative and legal measures against offender in the event of any error, negligence or failure detected in providing the service.
Separately, the 17th edition of the “SteelFab 2022” exhibition, MENA’s largest event of its kind, was concluded on Thursday with resounding success, enhancing the exhibition’s position as an international destination for the most important international companies and major local and international manufacturers.
Organised by the Expo Centre Sharjah with the support of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the “SteelFab 2022” has attracted over 6,000 visitors, mainly from traders and professionals.
