The Department of Health — Abu Dhabi told all medical treatment service providers in the Emirate that medical staff members in contact with a positive COVID-19 case were excluded from quarantine.
The department stressed the necessity for all medical treatment service providers to abide by three procedures; namely, conducting a COVID-19 PCR test every 48 hours, making sure that there are no symptoms during working hours and following quarantine procedures if any symptoms appear.
Meanwhile, the department stated in a circular to medical treatment service providers that it extended its decision to allow all UAE-licenced health professionals to work within Abu Dhabi-licenced health facilities until the end of December 2022.
The decision will be extended to further periods in line with the epidemiological situation and the need to provide medical support to curb the spread of COVID-19.
The department explained that the extension is in accordance with the rules and regulations in place, noting that it is aimed to serve the Abu Dhabi community by curbing the spread of COVID-19 and providing the necessary medical treatment.
