Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on Tuesday received a phone call from Arab League (AL) Secretary-General, Ahmed Aboul Gheit.
During the phone call, Aboul Gheit expressed the Arab League's condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack by the terrorist Houthi militia on civil areas and facilities in the UAE.
He also reiterated the Arab League's full solidarity with the UAE government against these terrorist attacks, which come as evidence of this terrorist militia's goals of threating security and destabilising the region.
He further highlighted the UAE's status as global champion of peace, and his confidence in the UAE's ability to thwart such cowardly attempts to threaten its security.
PAKISTAN EXPRESSES SOLIDARITY
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a phone call from Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Pakistan's Foreign Minister. During the phone call, Qureshi expressed Pakistan's condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack by the terrorist Houthi militia on civil areas and facilities in the UAE, which led to the death of a number of civilians.
He also reiterated Pakistan's full solidarity with the leadership, government and people of the UAE. Qureshi added that these terrorist crimes are a threat to international peace and security. He also offered condolences to the UAE over the victims of this cowardly terrorist act and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
Earlier, the Foreign Office (FO) condemned the "heinous terrorist attack on civilian areas carried out by the Houthis in Abu Dhabi."
In its statement, FO spokesperson Asim Iftikhar offer our condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to the injured. He further said that such attacks violated the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the UAE and posed a grave threat to the regional peace and security. He said Pakistan calls for their immediate cessation.
Iftikhar also said that Pakistan stood in solidarity with the brotherly people and the government of the UAE in the face of this wanton act of terrorism.
YEMEN’S FIRM POSTION
Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed received a phone call from Dr Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak, Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. During the phone call, Bin Mubarak expressed strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack by the terrorist Houthi militia on civil areas and facilities in the UAE, saying it is an unprecedented escalation and a systematic assault on civil facilities and civilians. He affirmed Yemen's firm position in solidarity with the UAE and full support for the measures it is taking in the face of such terrorist attacks.
He offered condolences to the UAE over the victims of this cowardly terrorist act and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
TURKEY OFFERS CONDOLENCES
Later during the day, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan also received a phone call from his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu. During the phone call, Cavusoglu expressed Turkey's condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist attack by the terrorist Houthi militia on civil areas and facilities in the UAE.
He also offered condolences to the UAE over the victims of this cowardly terrorist act and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
RUSSIA’S REACTION
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation has strongly condemned the terrorist Houthi attacks on civil facilities and areas in the UAE, Sputnik reported.
"We strongly condemn this provocation against civil infrastructure facilities in the friendly United Arab Emirates," said Maria Zakharova, Spokeswoman of Russia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on Tuesday.
SINGAPORE SLAMS DRONE ATTACKS
Singapore has strongly condemned Monday's drone attacks, which were carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia on civilian facilities in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, and resulted in the death of three civilians.
In a statement on Tuesday, Singapore's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, "Such attacks are unacceptable and cannot be justified. We convey our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wish the injured a speedy recovery."
MUSLIM COUNCIL OF ELDERS TERM HOUTHIS ‘CRIMINAL GANG’
The Muslim Council of Elders strongly condemned the terrorist attack that targeted civil facilities in Abu Dhabi. Comprising Dr Ahmed Al Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al Azhar, its distinguished members as well as its Secretary-General, the Council affirmed its complete solidarity and support with the UAE against those that target its security and stability.
The Council stressed that the treacherous attack comes on the back of the Houthi militia’s defeats on the ground. It is also a clear message to the international community that this militia is nothing more than a criminal gang that threatens regional and international security and disregards international law as well as religious and humanitarian principles.
The Muslim Council of Elders also extended its condolences to the UAE and the families of the victims who perished, while wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
