Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UoS), stressed that what the university aspires is to enhance its prestigious scientific position among the universities of the world, and to continue providing the best scientific and academic programmes that are reflected in societies and nations.
This came during his speech, which he delivered on Wednesday, at the graduation ceremony of the female students of the University of Sharjah from the Faculties of Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Communication, and Law, which was held at the University City Hall in Sharjah.

The President of the University of Sharjah said, “When His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, established this university, his eye was on the moments in which he will witness the graduates with a university degree that has attained a prestigious scientific position among the universities of the world, and here we are today with the efforts of everyone striving to continue the process and build on the numbers achieved at the local, regional and international levels."

In his advice to the graduates, Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed said, “I invite each of you to be proud of yourself, your certificate, and your university, and to be keen to continue receiving science and knowledge, and to develop skills in various fields."
Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan concluded his speech by thanking the university’s administration and faculty members for their efforts in rehabilitating female students and instilling the values of science, culture and knowledge in them.

In a speech Dr Hamid Majul Al Nuaimi, Chancellor of UoS, thanked Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi for honouring the graduation of female students in the Faculties of Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences, Communication, and Law. He also thanked everyone who contributed to the education of this new batch of university students. Al Nuaimi expressed the university’s pride and happiness in graduating a group of young women who will go to the fields of work that the university has prepared for them according to the best sciences, knowledge and skills, and using the best methods, means and educational methods adopted by the university.

After that, Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, President of the University of Sharjah, handed over certificates to the graduates, who had reached 403 from the Faculties of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Communication and Law. An earlier report said Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi praised the achievements made by the university throughout its pioneering career, which included great development in all scientific, academic, research, administrative and other fields, which brought it to high international ratings.

Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed said, “This is the first graduation ceremony in which I will participate with you as president of the university, after the great trust that His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan Bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, founder of the university and sponsor of its renaissance and development, placed in me. Today it has become among the 450 strongest universities in the world, added according to the assessment of the Times Higher Education International for 2022, and it is the first at the state level in medical, health and computer science disciplines and other programmes.”

The Deputy Ruler of Sharjah said, “For the fifth year in a row, the University of Sharjah continues to be the first at the state level in sustainability programmes, so it is certain that this position at the local, regional and global levels calls every graduate to be proud.”
The President of the University of Sharjah addressed a speech to the graduates, in which he said, “Your graduation today is a scientific victory for you and a journey of struggle that lasted for a few years, punctuated by a pandemic that affected the whole world, but it did not discourage you from fulfilling your wishes.”
