A rare calf was born with an extra eye in the middle of its forehead and four nostrils in a farm in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh.
“We thought it had a wound on its forehead before we found an eye and four nostrils seen by the locals who gathered in our house after it was born and gave us coconuts and flowers as gifts for the born calf,” said farmer Hemant Chandel.
The mother cow had previously given birth to two normal calves.
“Despite the rare birth, this calf is in good health, weighing 13.5 kg and has a tongue longer than any other normal calf but drinks milk the usual way,” a veterinarian said.
