The workshop was presented by 15 doctors specialising in anaesthesia and resuscitation, with the participation of around 100 beneficiaries of doctors, technicians and those interested in the field of anesthesia.
Dr Ahmed Abdel Aziz, Chief of Paediatric and Newborn Anaesthesia Department at Al Tawam Hospital and Head of Paediatric Anaesthesia Department, Tawam Hospital, Al Ain, while talking to the media stressed the importance of this workshop, which aims to provide medical advice and guidance to trainees and technicians in the field of anaesthesia on the uses and functions of the latest technologies.
“Medical and advanced technological systems have undergone rapid changes during the past two years, to provide an ideal service to patients, and to improve the quality of medical services for optimal pain-free care, whether before or after surgeries. This is reflected on the comfort of patients and their access to the maximum possible care that reflects on their health and recovery, in addition to reducing the length of their stay in the hospital,” he said.
Dr Abdul Aziz explained that this regional workshop includes an educational programme that provides practical training on these advanced techniques in the region under the supervision of the most skilled experts and practitioners in the field of anaesthesia, while at the same time providing community awareness aimed at reassuring patients in performing surgeries without pain, and achieving better results besides helping them recover faster.
