On Wednesday, dense fog blanketed different areas of the UAE, which lasted for 7 hours. The formation of fog started at 2am and continued until 9am as a result of the country being affected by weak surface pressures, accompanied by an atmospheric high extension in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) expects the temperatures to drop by two to three degrees during Friday and Saturday.
On Wednesday, the NCM recorded the lowest temperature of 7.7C° in the Rokna area of Al Ain.
The centre explained that Thursday’s weather will be generally clear to partly cloudy, and humid at night and Friday morning, with the possibility of fog or light fog formation over some coastal areas.

The sea is expected to be light to moderate, becoming turbulent on Friday morning in the Arabian Gulf and light in the Sea of Oman.
The weather on Friday and Saturday will be clear to partly cloudy in general, dusty at times and humid at night, with a noticeable drop in temperatures over the western and coastal regions with the possibility of light fog formation over some eastern interior regions, the centre indicated.
Winds will be northwesterly, moderate to active, especially on the sea, stirring dust in some exposed areas, especially in the west, at a speed of 15 to 25 up to 40 kilometres/hour.
