British man accused of assaulting Irish woman in Abu Dhabi

The Public Prosecution has imposed the remand measure of detention upon a British man with assaulting an Irish woman in Abu Dhabi.

The British man has also been accused of threatening to post the personal photographs of an Irish woman on social media.

Regarding the details of the incident, the alleged victim filed a complaint stating that she was beaten by the accused without reason, which caused her injuries in different parts of her body.

The Irish woman further said she was threatened by the accused that personal photographs of her would be published if she reacted or complained, due to previous disputes between them.

The Public Prosecution indicated that the medical report showed bruises and swelling in some parts of her body.

Upon arrest, the accused denied the charges brought against him in contradiction with the statements and evidence contained in the complaint, and the statement of the security guard who was present at the scene of the incident.
