The Sharjah’s Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management committee has approved the implementation of the gradual lifting of capacity restrictions for all activities and events in the emirate.
In line with the decisions of the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority, Sharjah has decided to ease capacity restrictions at various economic, tourism and entertainment facilities and shopping centers.
Public transport will also be allowed to carry passengers at its full capacity.
The Crisis Management teams have also agreed to raise the maximum capacity at weddings and funerals.
In mosques and places of worship the distancing between worshippers will be reduced to just one metre.
The team stressed the need to adhere to the green pass system on Alhosn application, calling on all members of society to continue taking precautionary and preventive measures by wearing a mask, and taking vaccinations and doses that support the return to normal life according to the highest safety standards.
