Sharjah Police arrest killer in 12 hours after body parts found dumped in garbage

Sharjah Police’s Department of Criminal Investigation arrested a man on charges of murdering an Asian in his forties.

The perpetrator was arrested some 12 hours after the victim had been identified based on some parts of his body that were found dumped in the garbage.

The case dates back to the time when Sharjah Police received a report from a Sharjah-based waste management company in which it stated that parts of a human body were found.

The concerned teams rushed to the scene of the report and had to sort more than 1,500 tonnes of waste to search for other parts of the victim.

The efforts made by the criminal investigation officers led to the identification of the victim in a very short time.

The victim turned out to be a man in his forties and was working as a driver for a Sharjah-based establishment.

According to Colonel Omar Bou Al Zoud, Director of Department of Criminal Investigations, the heinous murder required the detectives to make double efforts to reach the perpetrator in shortest time possible.

These efforts culminated in identifying the perpetrator, who was found to be a fellow man who committed his murder over personal disputes.

The perpetrator confessed to the murder and accordingly, all legal procedures were completed and the file of the case was referred to the public prosecution.
